Consider Becoming a KCHW Volunteer – Turn on, Tune In, Help Out!
There are two things that differentiate Community Radio from Public Radio -- community access and volunteers. At KCHW Chewelah Community Radio, volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. Volunteers participate in every aspect of KCHW's operations and we could not do what we do without them! Whether you are interested in music, public affairs, or working behind the scenes, KCHW welcomes you. We need volunteers who come in to do things a few times each year, and other volunteers who spend 20+ hours each week at the station. KCHW wants and needs creative people to keep the airwaves alive and thriving while creating awesome radio for our listeners!
In general, there is a four step process to being an active volunteer:
- Become a member of KCHW
- Attend Volunteer Orientation

- Jump in and get your feet wet!
For example we need people who will….

- Upload audio to website.
- Do janitorial work.
- Mail out "thank you gifts".
